Rainie’s Stats:

Rainie was a very gorgeous girl with lovely type and movement.  She definitely took after he father who won Most Versatile Aussie at the 1995 ASCA Nationals, and had her mother’s willing to please/sweet attitude. She was a comedian.  She took multiple MVAs and won HITs in Obedience and stock as well as winning multiple A-BOB.  At the 2006 ASCA  Nationals Rainie PREMIERED in altered in the only pre-show she was entered in.  She was handled by Heather to all of these awards and they helped put her mother Desi in the Hall of Fame.  She also was Heather's Working Junior Handing dog and they achieved multiple perfect scores in the Jr stock program.

  Rainie dabbled in tracking and was trialed in open obedience although No VCH for her as she found the open obedience ring too stressful even though she knew all of the exercises.  She was a wonderful Novice dog though and even earned a 193.5 at the o3 Nationals.  Rainie also enjoyed the occasional romp in Juniors with young kids.

Rainie was a waterdog and loved to stick her head under and blow bubbles and play in the sprinklers. She also had fun in the winter skijoring and pulling a Canadian Kick sled where she was the trustworthy "brake dog".  Heather and Rainie often played the "headbutt game" where Heather would get on all fours and lower her head at Rainie who would proceed to bounce around and ram her head back into Heather.  On Rainies last day she got to do the things she loved most.  The sprinkler was turned on and Rainie was helped over to it where she proceeded to roll in the grass (although she could not stand) under the water and Heather did one last game of "Headbutt" and Rainie tossed her head around on cue with her goofy smirk, although she could not get up.  Her spirit was everlasting, but her body failed her.  We have yet to find another dog that plays the headbutt game and if we ever do we will know she is there somewhere.
